About the Author

The author was born on Anzac Day, 25th of April 1955 in Sydney NSW. A tasty slice of her mischievous childhood was spent on the family farm at Tinonee where she revelled in freedom. From a young age, she enjoyed writing poetry, compositions and stories straight from the heart.

She grew up in Concord and attended North Strathfield Primary School, later Strathfield Girls High School. Attending Metropolitan Business College, she received her Diploma and later her Certificate IV in Business Management before commencing her own secretarial business.

Amelia has extensively travelled the globe and experienced the many flavours of life. These humble experiences taught her to believe in herself and to never abandon her dreams.

"I believe each person is unique and has their own special gift to offer. There is beauty in everything and everyone; it just needs to be drawn out and exposed for all to feed on."

Canada holds a special place in Amelia's heart after having lived and worked there. What she cherished was the unique wildlife, sharing Canada Day in Banff, The Calgary Stampede, attending an authentic pow-wow, the excitement of Halloween (she acted like a big kid) and the joy of seeing the Christmas boats and houses all lit up. Most of all it was the captivating beauty of the rugged snow-capped mountains that sprinkled their magic all over her; and the 'special' life long friends she met along the way. Her motto is: "Enjoy Life, Breathe it, Live it! Make each day count"
