Fritz tells the touching, humorous story of his last days on Salt Spring Island. Reluctant to leave, he's finally encouraged by another cat-spirit to go to the "other side".

About the Book
Fritz lived happily for six years in his little house on the front porch of the cinema on Salt Spring Island.
One evening in February, 2007, Fritz suddenly became what he called a "supercat". He could walk through closed doors, be invisible, and transport himself anywhere he wished.
His new spirit-cat friend Misty told him that he'd just been watching too many movies. Fritz came to realize the truth, but questioned why it happened.
Misty explained, and tried to persuade him to go with her to the "other side". Fritz however, vowed that he'd never leave his home, friends, or the cinema.
Flowers and cards arrived at his little house, but people didn't stop to pat or talk to him. Fritz tried in vain to make them realize that he was still there. He jumped on moviegoers laps, crashed the dog-training, portrait painting and square dancing sessions at the hall.
Misty took him on a tour of the island, and although they had great fun, Fritz realized what a special place it was and wondered how he could ever leave.
Then, one afternoon in March, many people arrived at the cinema. They watched slides of Fritz on the movie screen, had refershments, wrote in a book on a decorated table, and gave talks about Fritz. He realized that his friends had given him a going-away party to say goodbye. It was time for him to go.
When he and Misty arrived on the "otherside", Fritz was awestruck. He recieved a surprise gift and a welcoming party from friends there.
Together, they watched a movie in a replica of the island's cinema.
Near the end, Fritz was one happy cat when he discovered his pair of feathery white wings.
