Thunder

by Ro Dalsh

347 pages; quality trade paperback (softcover); catalogue #07-2438; ISBN 1-4251-5466-2; US$23.22, C$23.22, EUR15.86, £11.99

A kidnap job that goes wrong. A confrontation with an old adversary. Revenge. Friendships old and new.

About the Book

If Bond is working for the establishment and Bourne is fighting against his previous establishment, Thunder is completely outside any establishment or the law. He would be a wanted man if the law knew what crimes he had committed, what he looked like or what his name is.

Returning from one kidnap job, yet another awaits. Only this one goes wrong and Thunder kidnaps Kate, a clever but downtrodden girl instead of Sarah, the intended ‘victim’. Surprisingly Kate helps him find Sarah and even protects him. Now Thunder has to keep both girls safe and deal with the hirers and other hunters. While Sarah’s father extracts his own revenge, it becomes obvious that an old adversary is behind this - and he wants his own particular revenge.

Using Kit’s sister, Anna as bait, Thunder is lured into a trap. He is saved by Liam, a wild Irishman from the flat upstairs who has his own reasons for helping. Kate is now the bait to lure Thunder to a confrontation that is long overdue, culminating in a climatic show down.

This is a story about friendships (hence the symbol on the cover). For the first time in many years Thunder is not alone. Before he just had Kit, now he has Kate, Liam, Sarah and Marcus.

About the Author

I have always scribbled, usually to amuse myself. Dispirited at not being able to get my stories published I tried to give up writing but it wouldn't let me and I carried on, driven by an urge to write. I don't write what I read but bizarrely what I tend to watch. So Thunder is in the same vein as Bond or Bourne.
