She went back to Nigeria in 1982. With post graduate studies in journalism, she worked for 15 years as an assistant editor of the social paper, LAGOS WEEKEND at the Nigerian newspaper company, THE DAILY TIMES OF NIGERIA. Elizabeth was known famously by her pen name "BAMBINO" and for pushing her column to the edge on the hottest social and political issues gripping the country at any particular time.
