Once upon a time, in America, there lived an ordinary woman, a baby boomer. She had an ordinary little life, in an ordinary little home, with an ordinary family, job and friends. She loved her country, and while she recognized its imperfections, she thought it was the greatest country in the world.

One day, in extraordinary circumstances, she was introduced to an evil attorney and a wicked Federal Judge who had the power to deny her due process. The wicked Judge sent a message, via judicial opinion, to a band of his henchmen, the FBI.

On a beautiful, clear, blue morning more than two years ago, a squadron of FBI agents mounted what could be termed a home invasion on Ms. Santos. Using intimidation, the FBI detained Ms. Santos and questioned her without an attorney present to represent her. She was told that she would definitely be indicted by a Grand Jury, tried for, and convicted of conspiracy to commit criminal fraud. Ms Santos was further told she would go to prison. Her bank accounts were frozen then seized, along with other personal assets. She lost her home.

Without resources, Ms. Santos found herself in the office of the Public Defender. An experience unto itself!

Ms. Santos wanted to close her eyes and go to sleep forever, but alas she could not. She had to wake up and see what she had believed all of her life was just not true. There was no American justice.
