About the Author

Steve Ahern has worked in radio most of his life, as a broadcaster, producer and manager. He teaches radio skills at the Australian Film Television and Radio School, and has consulted on radio training around the world.

Steve is the author of the text book Making Radio (published by Allen & Unwin) and writes regularly on media issues. During his career he worked in community radio stations just like the one written about in this book. He also once worked for the British Consulate.
