About the Book

She was starring as a vocalist with her band at a Las Vegas hotel and casino. But, her husband remained in Texas pursuing his quest for a college degree. After a prolonged separation from her husband … she finally succumbed to the insistent cajoling and deception by her band leader … who succeeded in getting her inebriated … and into bed. Finally, at her insistence … her husband agreed to visit her in Las Vegas. The day before his arrival, she was convinced that she was made pregnant by her lover. Her life was in ruins. To make matters worse … her husband admitted that he was having an affair with his very attractive college teacher back in Texas. Was there any hope for their future?



About the Author

Earl E. Somers was raised in an orphanage in Fountain Hill, PA.

Joined the Army at age 21 and retired in 1969. Rejoined the federal sector as a Sky Marshal. Still later, was sworn in as a Customs Agent. During his military career, met Gertrud Schaefer in Germany and married in 1952. Blessed with three sons, all of whom have storied careers of their own.

At age 47, continued his formal education at Golden Gate University downtown San Francisco, California. Was installed as a member of the International Society of Poets during their annual convention, 17 - 22 August, 2005. To date, has composed 21 poems which have been published in his previous three books … Dia GratiaLittle Jack's OdysseyUp, Up And Away.

He is a born again Christian … a member of Grace Covenant Church of South San Francisco … and a member of the Gideon Society.
