About the Book

From the relative comfort of life in North America in the early 1950's, an eleven-year-old boy finds himself on a wild and fearful ride across the Pacific Ocean to embark on a new life on the tropical island of Panay in the Philippine Islands.

Tales of Iloilo is a collection of true adventures experienced by the author as a young boy. From an embarrassing ride on a water buffalo to ducking the attack of a thousand bats flying out of a cave, you feel the trepidation, wonder and excitement of his encounters with a whole new world.
