About the Book
This book describes some of the U.S. District Court procedures and the conditions imposed on the Deputy Marshal. It explains the special assignments and the selection process of the deputies' appointment by the U.S. Marshal Director. The intensive special training imposed on the selectees and the special assignments they are sent on. It also shows the latitude a deputy has in carrying out his assignment. While on the assignment, the deputy is not responsible to orders of the U.S. Marshal whose district he may be in, but only to the Director, U.S. Marshal Service.
