About the Book

The political intrigue in Spokane, Washington in 2007 could occur in any U.S. city if the mayor and his top aide ignored ever-constant warnings and fanned the flames of their self-immolation. Issue after issue fueled the bonfire. A highly-qualified, "breath of fresh air," mayoral heir-apparent was subjected to a barrage of negative, election campaign tactics, launched by out-of-town gurus. Voters knew better.

This seven month, almost day-by-day, narrative reveals astounding decisions, reactions, lampoons, and consequences that would not be believed if seen at the cinema.

Incumbents are warned: Do not do it like this.
