About the Author

Dr. David L. Goetsch is a college vice-president, professor of business and management, and economic development consultant. As the author of more than 60 books on business, management, leadership, quality, occupational safety, and economic development, Dr. Goetsch is one of the most widely published college professors in the United States. Several of his books are best sellers and three have been translated into foreign languages (Korean, Indonesian, and Malaysian).

Dr. Goetsch has been selected twice by the Florida Economic Development Council as Northwest Florida's "Volunteer of the Year" (1992 and 1996). He is the co-founder, past president, and current board member of the Okaloosa County Economic Development Council, co-founder and current board member of the Walton County Economic Development Council, past president and current board member of the Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce, past president of the Niceville-Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce (twice 1989 and 2007) and current board member, past board member of the Crestview Chamber of Commerce, current foundation board member of the Walton County Chamber of Commerce, founder and past board chair of the Technology Coast Manufacturing and Engineering Network, past chair of the Gulf Coast Alliance for Technology Transfer, co-founder of the Al Donaldson Institute for Entrepreneurship, founder and administrator of the Corporate Training Center at Okaloosa-Walton College, and founder of The Quality institute of the Okaloosa Economic Development Council.
