About the Book
This story which was inspired by long walks in the Boston Public Garden by the author, relates an imaginary tale of a magical nymph who arrives in the BPG to surprisingly find that other magical creatures exist. In the course of eavesdropping on a conversation, Morning Starr decides to try out her somewhat vague magical powers to grant a wish - and the adventures start there.
About the Author
Originally from New Bedford, Massachusetts, Joanne Dzioba Kelley was a secretary for several years before she worked her way through and graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art with a B. S. in Art and Art Supervision. She has also taken illustration courses at the Boston Museum School and won honorable mention for a Christmas card design that featured a swan boat, which was the initial idea for her current book "Morning Starr and the Magic Swan."
