About the Book

In this sequel to the popular novel, Jackie, Luther and I, Danny is once again sent on an exciting adventure by the mysterious Chiang, owner of Ottawa Chinatown's Canton Grocery. This time Danny refuses to board the "magical" time-machine rickshaw without his big brother, Gary. It would prove to be a wise decision as it would take both of them, with all the courage and determination they could muster, to survive the rigours of 1883 British Columbia. They would meet Chi and Lin's amazing family who ran the Chinese grocery store in Yale, British Columbia. Together, they would fight the town bullies, match wits with the bosses of the Canadian Pacific Railway and attempt to make a better life for the suffering Chinese workers of the company. Danny and Gary would experience many challenges and much danger in pursuit of a mission that they did not understand. But they knew until the mission was completed, they would never return to their home and friends in Ottawa 2005. It was the adventure of a lifetime and they hoped they were up to it. In the end, would the secret of Chiang and those wild mismatched eyes finally be revealed?
