The Book of Knotsense is an engaging collection of humorous cartoons presented as riddles featuring wooden knots related to an amusing pun or a clever play on words.

About the Book

Fans of humor and puns are in for a special reading treat from author Jerry Tomlin as his new book, The Book of Knotsense is a collection of cartoons that all have a wooden knot, or knots, which he has dubbed “What Knots,” that get incorporated into a cartoon pun or play on words. With his original and unique still of cartooning each piece will leave readers laughing and make them think about the many funny messages that they project such as Y-knot, Half Knot Want Knot, Knot in a Million Years, Knot on Your Bottom Dollar, Knot T Knot T, and many more. The Book of Knotsense is more than just a humor book as it also has a philosophy on relationships as seen through the author’s eccentric sense of humor. From the first page until the last, this book will keep you thinking about knots in a whole new perspective as you will also be challenged to try and guess the pun before the answer is revealed which should give you big reasons to be tickled. The Book of Knotsense proves there is no stopping humor and there is no limit to having funny thoughts. This is just the first in a series that will be enjoyed by young and old alike.

Reviews

You are knot going to believe how many ways Jerry has found to use tree knots in this book. He's knot right! I hope you get as big a kick out of it as I did!

As I started the book I figured it was knot so good, but the puns grow page by page and it becomes rather entertaining. I happen to love making puns so this book hits a good spot. Keep it up, Woz

About the Author

If there were anyone who could be described as a 'Knotaholic' author Jerry Tomlin would be the number one example. As he says, he's "Knot Krazy" as in enthusiastic over his creations he has dubbed "What Knots". He was originally born in Shreveport, Louisiana where he lived until 1968 when he moved to Milledgeville, Georgia which he now regards as his home. Before pursuing a career as an author, cartoonist and humorist he spent 30+ years as a registered nurse in the operating room and ICU or as he liked to refer to it, the Incontinent Care Unit. He received his RN degree from Georgia College and State University (formerly Georgia College) in 1975 and prior to that graduated from Georgia Military College. In 1980 and '81 he taught the motivational and attitude seminars Adventures I and II with Challenge to America. He is also a graduate of Jeff Justice's Stand-up Comedian Workshops Level I and II.

For the past 17 years he has run a successful part time home based business called, "The Crow Roost" and has appeared on nine TV shows as the guest in addition to having numerous articles he has written published in hunting or shooting magazines. As well there have been numerous articles written by other authors about his video "Eating Crow".

Lastly, his adopted philosophy is, "As you go through life, if you can learn to become an adjustible wrench, then you'll be able to fit just about any Knot (nut) that comes along".
