The only book that sums up the life and times of the 21st century business jet pilot. Includes descriptions of life on the road, ongoing training and challenges.
About the Book
Extreme Jet Flying! straps the reader into the cockpit of the fastest executive jet in the world—the Cessna Citation X. While there, a glimpse into the stratospheric wonders and challenges faced by crews of this elite passenger-carrying airplane are exposed: bucking against roaring, wintertime jet streams, enduring gut-wrenching thunderstorms and surviving mechanical failures.
Extreme Jet is a peek into the twenty-first century’s glamorous jet charter world—from its operational side to the personal relations with the world’s most successful people.
Insight is provided into the flight testing challenges encountered for certification into high-altitude airports, the use of thrust-reversers, and operating in icing conditions.
The book includes amusing descriptions of the types of passengers, human and otherwise that fly aboard the X. The author even shares a long list of names of distinguished celebrities that have called upon the Extreme Jet to blaze them across the country.
This expose would not be complete without its sections on perks that pilots enjoy, the exotic destinations to which the Citation X is flown, and the future of the biz-jet industry.
No book on the market more adequately sums up the life and times of today’s business jet world. To go where few people have gone before, and to see the world through the front end of a bullet-like machine, open the hatch and strap yourself into the pages of Captain Vince Moore’s Extreme Jet Flying!
