About the Author

GEORGE A. ANTHONY is a visual artist and a strong advocate for the visual arts. Typical of many visual artists, he never attended a college or university for his artistic training. He is a graduate in Chemical Technology from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute.

He first became drawn to the visual arts over twenty years ago when he received the calling and then began to experiment with painting. He became more focused by taking four years of artistic training through continuing educational classes at night school. Over recent years, he has shown in numerous exhibitions and is a current member of Lakeshore Arts and Visual Arts Ontario.

His background in advocacy includes being a previous labour representative, executive officer and facilitator with the Union of National Defence Employees and a past chair of the Toronto Recycling Action Committee.

George A. Anthony has always been a strong advocate for the rights of the individual and The Bucket Book is a natural extension of his background and dedication.
