About the Book The book truly speaks for itself as long as the reader is as open as the book is. Readers who can be touched, who can feel, or be moved will understand and embrace my heart's masterpiece as each word represents accumulated knowledge from the experience of living and having life. Life with the understanding of the negative and positive energies from the people we share the world with and how any energy, when used for trueness and optimism, is good energy. The In Zoneis a collaboration of the elements necessary to survive the challenges that are naturally apart of the journey of life.

About the Author Born and raised in the city of Chicago, I am the third and baby boy of my mom Harriet Dowdell and second and baby boy of my dad Adam Dowdell Sr. That means that I have twice the responsibility and twice the fun. Though my parents are not together and I was mostly raised in a single-parent home, getting to know them both as individuals has been one of the funniest yet most educational experiences of my life. I wouldn't trade it for the Brady Bunch or the Cosby Show. I have two older brothers named Adam Dowdell (middle) and Clayton Dowdell (oldest) and I have my main little man named Mikey A-K-A Clayton Dowdell Jr. Mikey is everybody's first born whether it is son, nephew, grandson, or as I stated earlier, my main little man. When it comes to writing, I never knew that one of the first things I was taught how to do would evolve into this. What I also didn't know is that secretly my ability to write had an affect on my family, my teacher, and my classmates and peers. On January 15, 1999 at three o'clock in the morning, I wrote the very first of many creative expressions in an attempt to see what many, including my family, were so moved by. Because I couldn't find any answers, I vowed to write the best possible collection of beautiful words and move as many people as I possibly could and see what happens next. I haven't placed my pen down since. I am currently residing in Arizona. What I've learned over the years is what I've prepared to share with any and all if they're willing. That a man can learn how to express his feelings as openly and uniquely as the teachings of each emotional and expressive person he has encountered, to be a complete individual of life. As for other activities outside of book endeavors I play basketball, run, swim, workout, bike ride, and catch a movie or two. For relaxation I cook, write, draw, listen to music, and make sure that the hand full of loved ones I do have are appreciated and check up on.
