Reviews

"The men in my classes know the cost of an angry life. Each time I teach Uprooting Anger in prison I see men loosed from the life-controlling influence of anger to the freedom of Christ. This book is a trusted source for counseling, provides a Scriptural view of anger's causes, and teaches how to be rooted and grounded in love. I recommend this book." - Chaplain G. Barrett Glover, Walton Correctional Facility, DeFuniak Springs, FL

"I'm not quick to get angered as I once was, and I take a quick inventory of what the problem is and how I should handle it. Thank you." - M.P., an inmate who completed the study

"This book was an inspiration emotionally, physically, and mentally. It helped me deal with myself first and then others. This book is highly recommended to any who think they don't have an anger problem. And find out about the true you." - T. G., an inmate

"All my life, I was controlled by anger and its damaging ability to infect my life and those around me. Thanks to your Uprooting Anger course, I've learned to recognize what triggered anger and am better equipped to cope with it. Anger sabotages happiness and leaves misery in its wake." - J. W.

"I've experienced what anger truly was and how it controlled every minute of my life: even my happy moments. I didn't understand the devastating action of my anger or where it came from. I realized the symptoms, but didn't know the roots that crippled my every emotion. But thanks to a Spirit-led teacher . . . and the excellent material you have provided, I've begun to scratch the surface . . . . I hope that the Lord will continue to let you help others with Uprooting Anger." - M. H.

"Uprooting Anger is a very powerful book. . . . It teaches you how to deal with anger, and how to live a life without anger". - D.F.

"[Thanks to this study,] I've seen through Scripture how my behavior affects my family, me, offspring, and others. I've learned so many biblical truths about myself. . . . I plan to take this course again next year". - R.W.

"This course has shown me how to deal with my anger and resentments according to the Bible, how to release my bitterness and resentments, and how to put God in full control of my life. . . . Thank you for helping me understand myself better". - H.W.

About the Author

Kay Camenisch wrote the Meditations for Uprooting Anger: Destroying the Monster Within as she was seeking God for answers for Christian couples she and her husband, Robert were counseling. The couples had all called to seek placement for troubled sons in a residential treatment facility Robert and Kay were directing. The couples were trying to walk in righteousness and raise godly children, but they were failing. Anger was undermining their efforts to build godly families.

Kay's search revealed that God commands us to get rid of anger, not to manage it. She cried out to God to show her the keys to freedom and began a search of Scripture passages that deal with anger. The answers found were different than what she sought.

Kay has been in ministry with Robert for over thirty years. Together they have taken courses in ministry and counseling and have co-labored in personal ministry as Robert pastored churches. They served as missionaries in Brazil and later worked in a Christian school where Robert was the principal.

In the 1990's they worked for the Institute in Basic Life Principles coordinating EQUIP, a program that trains young adults to work with troubled teens. They then directed a residential treatment center for juvenile delinquents and counseled with parents of troubled teens. The devastation from anger Kay witnessed led her to cry out to God for help. The answers Kay received in response to her cry are recorded in the book, Uprooting Anger: Destroying the Monster Within. Learn more about Robert and Kay's ministry at www.randkcamenisch.com.
