Demetra Yuvanu was born and raised in Athens, Greece. At the age of 20 she married and left Greece. She has lived in Turkey and in several U.S. States. She currently lives in Southern California where she co-owns a successful business. She has two grown sons. She often visits Athens to be with her parents, sister and relatives.
The author first became interested in personal transformation, self healing and self empowerment in her early twenties. She's been studying cause and effect principles to life and the direct relationship of our thoughts to our experiences for 30 years. The ancient school of thought that perception creates our reality has been her life's philosophy. A revised edition of her first book, About Spiritual Mind Treatments, explains the principles of manifestation in order to transform wants into form and experience.
During a flight from Greece several years ago, the idea for a children's book came to her. She immediately knew it was going to be a truth-imparting novel that would reward the children for life. The scribbled outline quickly came to life. By the end of the flight the concepts of "choice" and "focus" became the seed. That seed would blossom into a story capable of teaching the roles that "focus" and "choice" play as tools in bringing hopes, dreams and visions to life.
Her primary goal in writing BeJoWiLo's Upper House was to empower children with useful tools. In a playful, imaginative and suspenseful novel, she wrote about our innate gifts of choice, trust and inner guidance and how to utilize them.
