About the Author

After twenty five years in the entertainment industry, Nick Pelino Jr. turned his attention back to his scholastic pursuits attending The University of Phoenix Online. He is currently completing his Masters degree (MAEd/AEDL) in adult education and distance learning. "The Online Student's Survival Guide," a resource book outlining the online education experience is his first non-theater related project.

A successful playwright, Pelino's work includes ten full length plays and numerous children's theater adaptations. Within the compilation work, A Trilogy of Mystery, Pelino's popular plays, The Final Word: the Hall-Mills Murders, Lizbeth of Maplecroft and The Watseka Wonder: When Mary Came Home are offered to the reader in novel form. Each play included has been produced to great critical acclaim and is presented in this single volume. Pelino has also been the contributor to numerous theater industry newsletters and columns. His work as a director totals well over one hundred and fifty plays in the NYC and New Jersey area theater scene.

He was cited for Overall Achievement in Theater by the A.C.T. Awards in 1996 for his many contributions to local NJ Theater. As a director he staged the critically acclaimed production of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, which starred Ron Palillo (TV's Arnold Horshack of Welcome Back, Kotter fame.) in his highly praised turn as George in the leading role. Nick has also worked in the capacity of a casting director (Inner City starring Darlene Love) and Talent Coordination Representative for a number of events which have included Rita Moreno, Eddie Mekka and Jimmy "JJ" Walker, to name just a few.

In July of 1999, Pelino was diagnosed with and operated on for brain cancer. Since that surgery, he has gained two advanced college degrees and continues to study and write in his current home in Forked River, NJ. Additionally, he travels extensively throughout America and abroad.
