About the Author

Elizabeth M Hacking born of English parents who travelled to Northern and Southern Rhodesia in 1945 from Britain. Born in Ndola Central Hospital, lived, schooled and worked in the Copperbelt region until 1989, when my husband undertook employment in Lusaka. Second eldest child of six children, eldest daughter. Educated upto highschool in Zambia, higher education and qualifications obtained in the United Kingdom. Married to an Italian national who was also born in Zambia, with four children, three of whom are adults and the youngest being thirteen years of age, and currently attending the Italian School in Lusaka Zambia. Father deceased in 1966, mother deceased in 1990, both parents are buried in Ndola Cemetary in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia.

Currently employed by Rainbow Investments Limited, international road transporters, in the capacity of Finance Director, joined Rainbow Investments on the 1st July 1998, prior to this, Personal Assistant and Administrative Officer for the European Union Delegation in Lusaka.
