About the Author

Born in China to missionary parents, Ethel Dickson Smith has traveled extensively. She and her husband researched this novel in Norway and Scotland. Mrs. Smith is a Wilson College alumna and has a Masters of Arts degree in Christian Education. The mother of two daughters and one granddaughter, Ethel Smith is happily retired in Asheville, North Carolina.
