Emily Bunker graduated from Stanford University with a degree in anthropology, and is the author of two other books: Nuri's Donkey: Untold Stories & Unwritten Rules of a Village in Turkey, about the Turkish village to which she once belonged, and an SAT prep book called Secret Rules of the SAT Game: A Player's Guide. Her beautiful half-Turkish daughters, Michelle and Eliza, are all grown up. She lives in Cape Cod with her cats Jet and Twix, now ages twelve and nine.
