Spring A B C's

Spring ABC's features a special Spring word and a brightly colored illustration for each letter of the alphabet, presented in poem form. Each word is clearly portrayed through the picture reproductions of original oil paintings, along with a lyrical understanding of each featured word.

Dodie Sparks, a retired Educator, has an extensive background working with children. She did her undergraduate and post graduate studies through the California State University System at San Jose State and Fresno State. Dodie's 27 year career in the California Public Schools included teaching, counseling and administrative positions - culminating in 17 years as a Guidance Specialist for grades Pre-School through High School. She and her husband also owned and operated a Private Pre-School and Day Care Center, with an enrollment of more than 150 children.

Dodie, and her husband, Duke, of 50 years, are retired and live in Sequim, Washington. They have three children and five grandchildren.

Spring ABC's is her first children's book.
