Kay Camenisch wrote the Meditations for Uprooting Anger: Destroying the Monster Within as she was seeking God for answers for Christian couples she and her husband, Robert were counseling. The couples had all called to seek placement for troubled sons in a residential treatment facility Robert and Kay were directing. The couples were trying to walk in righteousness and raise godly children, but they were failing. Anger was undermining their efforts to build godly families.

Kay's search revealed that God commands us to get rid of anger, not to manage it. She cried out to God to show her the keys to freedom and began a search of Scripture passages that deal with anger. The answers found were different than what she sought.

Kay has been in ministry with Robert for over thirty years. Together they have taken courses in ministry and counseling and have co-labored in personal ministry as Robert pastored churches. They served as missionaries in Brazil and later worked in a Christian school where Robert was the principal.

In the 1990's they worked for the Institute in Basic Life Principles coordinating EQUIP, a program that trains young adults to work with troubled teens. They then directed a residential treatment center for juvenile delinquents and counseled with parents of troubled teens. The devastation from anger Kay witnessed led her to cry out to God for help. The answers Kay received in response to her cry are recorded in the book, Uprooting Anger: Destroying the Monster Within. Learn more about Robert and Kay's ministry at www.randkcamenisch.com.
