About the Book

This heartwarming story revolves around a child taking her first dancing lessons. She wants to become a talented ballerina, but trouble with following directions, and later, serious illness causes her to stop the lessons in order to get well. The child continues to persevere in spite of both challenges. Her ultimate success and the story's message will bring a smile to the reader. Many children will identify with the struggle to continue when similar difficulties present themselves in every day life.

About the Author

Linda Clarke Sheehan, M.Ed., is a counseling psychologist and an educator of young children. She presently teaches second grade in Massachusetts. She has three children and lives in Hingham, Massachusetts with her husband, Dan, and two cats, Mozart and Mr. Kitty.

Diane Lucas is an artist and illustrator and has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Victoria. She has illustrated many covers and picture books. She lives in Nova Scotia, Canada, with her husband and two children.
