About the Book

Summer Raindrops is an evocative collection of flower and plant studies. Each striking photograph is accompanied by a short quotation or poetic verse written by a member of the literary pantheon, from Shakespeare to Thoreau to Dickenson. These quotations, sometimes philosophical and sometimes whimsical, imbue the collection with extra dimensions of meaning and, when combined with the photographs, foster a tranquil, meditative atmosphere perfect for thought and reflection.

About the Author

Jeanne White trained at the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California, and has photographed fossils and minerals for the Geological Survey of Canada. Her photographs have appeared in a wide range of publications, and she has published two previous book-length collections of her work: Cats in Pictures and Smiling Tiger.
