About the Book

The Masked Explorer is an evocative collection of animal photos photographed by photographer Jeanne White and accompanied by a short quotation or poetic verse written by a member of the literary pantheon, from Shakespeare to Thoreau to Dickenson. About the Author

Jeanne White trained at the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California, and has photographed fossils and minerals for the Geological Survey of Canada. Her photographs have appeared in a wide range of publications, and she has published three previous book-length collections of her work: Cats in Pictures,Smiling Tiger, and Summer Raindrops.
