About the Book

Sandi and Michael decide to buy a dog for the family. The family takes off to the SPCA to look for a dog. Patrick and Annie are really excited walking through the aisles and looking at all the animals. After agreeing to a dog they all like, the family takes the dog home. Everyone loves the cute little dog, but they have a hard time finding a name to call it. Patrick, being his mischievous self, thinks it is funny to pull the dog’s tail, even after Sandi tells him not to. He is shocked when the dog spins around and reacts.

About the Author

I have always dreamed of writing a children’s book. Reading a lot as a child inspired me to continue reading well into my adult life. Also, reading to other children and seeing the looks of anticipation on their faces as the excitement brews brings joy to my heart. Born and raised in the Bahamas, I moved to Canada to pursue my education in journalism. I later received a bachelor’s degree in sociology and math from McMaster University. I enjoy music, writing short stories, and lyrics. My passion for writing children’s books has inspired and motivated me to educate others to read more.
