The First Piece of the Puzzle includes five chapters:

Chapter One: Tells us about the many blessings showered upon us by our Creator; about the world and the absolute beauty therein. It describes our walking with our hands in God's. This section contains a poem about God's Laughter and Love, and word-paints God's colors in an exciting manner.

Chapter Two: Includes warm memories about family and friends. There is a beautiful poem entitled "Remember Mom", memories for Mother's Day celebrations, as well as an outstanding poem about Fathers and their love for us.

Chapter Three: Romantic Poems about love and commitment, for the romance we hope for, have, or have had, and for the lonely and the one you're missing. "I Love You" says it all.

Chapter Four: A humorous collection of unique thoughts and unusual dreams. "Did this really happen or was I dreaming" is a heartbreaker and "I should have known -" is quite a chuckler. There is a poem about her travels that just might remind you of an experience or two. Delightful! You must read it!!

Chapter Five: This is the chapter that has a potpourri of feelings and sensations. It has a little bit of everything in it. A roller-coaster ride throughout life!! It is Great!

About the Author

Born in Montclair, New Jersey, Ms. Jean Embry spent most of her formative years in and around Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. She now resides in Augusta, Georgia, (retired from the Department of Defense in 1995) and is currently a professor of Psychology at Paine College. In addition, she is in great demand as a professional storyteller and motivational speaker. Ms. Embry can really spin a yarn! She is a Past District Governor of Georgia (District 14), having spent over 22 years in Toastmasters. Her verbal skills and stage presence also come into play with her poetry. Read them "out loud" and you will "feel" the cadence of her poems.

Ms. Embry has lived and worked in Europe and traveled extensively worldwide. In her local community, she serves on many boards, and spends numerous hours as a volunteer, teaching leadership and speaking skills to adults and young people and tutoring reading, writing and math at the elementary school level.

Along her life's journey, she has earned two masters degrees and a doctorate, and has become a Lay Episcopal Minister and Licensed Lay Preacher of children's sermons. She showers you with God's Blessings and hopes you will look forward to more Pieces of the Puzzle.
