Queen Ashura was in a tizzy. She hadn't slept all night nor had she been able to think. Now she had just been informed that a band of her sentries had seen Akeemi ascend into the sky in the grasp of one of the little red men. He was being taken at a rapid pace toward the center of the red men's village. The queen spat out a bright crimson cloud, "We will attack as soon as possible! Ready the catapults! Ready the diseased corpses! I want all available men, women, and children over the age of twelve to kill ALL of the red people. We start on the outer perimeter and work our way in. We are impervious to the disease and so is Akeemi. They will die all around him. As they are stricken and weakened, KILL THEM! You are to ransack and destroy everything in your path. Take care with the destruction when you are near the pyramid. Let the sickness take its course from then on. When all are stricken around him, seize our son and slay the rest. Now GO!" A flurry of orange/yellow wafted back to Ashura from all directions, "Yes, my Queen. We will make it so."

About the Book

About the Author
M. Malmstrom was born in Moline, Illinois. He now resides in Orlando, Florida, with his wife, Annie, and their son, Christian. He has spent the last thirty years as a superintendent for one of the largest electrical contractors in Florida. This is his third book and the second in the Witch series.
