October 15, 2004 “Wake up!” Sarah said, her scenic smile dropping as she began to cry, trying to figure out what just happened to her husband Joseph. Sarah took a detailed look across his body and noticed there was no movement. She swiftly dropped to her knees and grabbed ahold of Joseph’s left arm, trying for the pulse in his wrist; but there was nothing to give her hope. “Baby, get up, please!” she shouted, “I need you here with me, I don’t know how I’ll go on without you.” The anxious crowd gathered around them inside the mall was astonished to see this young man fall to the ground. He dropped like he was paralyzed from the neck down and the breath in his body was snatched out of his lungs. Out of nowhere, a man came gliding through the crowd to reach the spot where Sarah was. The man then knelt down across Sarah—on the other side of Joseph—and stretched his hand out toward her. He grabbed Sarah’s right hand with his left, and placed his right hand flat upon the forehead of Joseph and then asked Sarah, “May I pray with you?” Sarah observed Joseph’s almost lifeless body and cried out in a distraught voice, “Lord why, why did this have to happen?” The man said, “Everything will be fine.” as he looked focused at Sarah in her tear-flooded eyes. The man bowed his head, closed his eyes, and began to pray. “Heavenly Father, we come to You right now as humble as we know how, asking from You an answer. We know not why this has happened so suddenly, but we ask for wisdom and understanding of what You are doing. The instance of this event that has just occurred with this young man is terrifying and astounding to us all, but most of all, his wife. The two of them have been serving You for some time now and we know that Joseph’s time has not yet come.” The man continued to pray as Sarah opened her eyes and looked at him in amazement. She described him to be dressed in an all-white three-piece suit, wearing shiny leather white shoes in his feet. His hair is dark brown and his voice was powerful, like the beat of a bass drum. But she was unable to remember the features in his face. “Lord, please give Sarah the wisdom and understanding she needs right now, so that she may be able to wait this hurting time out. I ask that You fill her with faith, trust, hope, and strength, which she will need until You have done Your mighty work in their lives. In Your son Jesus’s mighty and precious name we ask this of You, Amen.” At the end of the prayer, the paramedics came storming through the door, which caused Sarah to look where the noise had come from. The first paramedic that rushed through the mall doors hollered, “Where is he?” “Over here!” Sarah shouted while hopping and waving her hand side to side. The two paramedics rushed over to her, and the closest one to Joseph politely demanded, “Ma’am, could you please move so we can try and help him? We need as much space as possible to perform any necessary procedure.” Sarah did what she was asked and then looked over to where the man was seen last and noticed that he had suddenly vanished. She wasn’t sure what to think as she said to herself, I cannot see but I trust.

About the Book
Starting with a young man losing consciousness and collapsing in a mall while walking toward his wife, a chain reaction is manifested. With each life that is affected, there is an elderly woman named Mae Nell Harris who is coincidentally placed in their lives to help them through her wisdom. With the unknowingly assistance from a man who seems to appear and vanish when tragedy strikes, the lives affected are challenged to trust a stranger when they don't know what else to do. But whatever they choose, their lives about to change.
About the Author
I've been writing since I was in fourth grade as far as I can remember. Throughout the past thirteen years, I have honed my writing skills by paying attention in school and reading to gain different methods of writing. In my senior year of high school, my English teacher told my mom that I might as well look into a modeling career because I wasn't applying myself as best I could. After hearing those words coming from my mom, I started to really think about my future. Nothing seemed to be going my way until I watched a play written and performed by members of my church in the summer of 2008. That’s when I brought out a piece of paper and a pencil and began writing. Within' a month’s time, I had completed my first play, and the story was phenomenal. From there, I began writing more and more, until I extended my play into a story. But then, it was time for a change. I moved from my hometown, Barstow, California, to where I currently reside in La Verne, California. Here I worked at Wal-Mart as a receiving associate and then part of the asset protection team. I began writing poetry while at work: on break, lunch, or when I was at home because of my younger brother’s influence, Demetri Kelley. Together we wrote an inspirational poetry book titled God’s Words from this Generation, and it was published independently February 27, 2012, with CreateSpace. During that publishing process, I began writing my first novel titled 'The Love from Just One' on February 9, 2012. I finished writing that particular book on July 31, 2012, and I am excited for people of all ages to read it. Because the next chapter in my life has yet to be written, I won’t stop working the gift within' my hands that God has given.
