This is the life story of Eleanor (Ellie) Connelly. She grew up on Staten Island, New York and was born on December 1956. She was brought up in a dysfunctional family we all hear about. But, Ellie was different, and even after being told everyday that she was not good enough, or she would never fit in, she finally retaliated and became the tough kid, fighting her way through life in more ways than one. Her journey through junior high school, and high school will amaze you. Her stories are raw but real, crude but cute, and will always leave you in shock and awe. Her essence had been established during those young precious years, and ironically the tough little kid grew to become the confident, caring and loving leader that would not only take on the Real Estate Industry, but also enter the political arena. Crossroads is full of decades of an incredible journey well lived, filled with friends and lovers and yet coupled with the pain and passion of her ability to love, to trust, and to care. This is also the story of success, excitement, adventure, happiness, hope and dreams and all too quickly becomes the story of what happens when Ellie wakes up and that dream has been replaced with disappointment, tragedy, death, loneliness, sadness and humiliation. Ellie Connelly became a confident business executive and writer of inspirational poems. She lives in Oxford, Florida, where she cares for her handicapped husband. She has two daughters, one son, and two grandchildren.
