Butterfly Hamster has decided he would like to go to Canada. In particular, he would like to explore Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories of Canada. Butterfly Hamster goes to Canada in a cast away but informed and well planned manner. His new family whom he meets in Canada are Olivia and her Mom. The story is from the perspective of Butterfly Hamster who has the talent to be a little reporter with his laptop.

This book is enjoyable and comical for a parent and child to read together and would be suitable for children 3 -6 years old. Although it is a work of fiction, the reader will learn about Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories of Canada.
