How do I place a book order?

Call your book sales consultant to place a book order. If you are not sure who your consultant is, please call us toll-free at 888.232.4444.You will be directed to the appropriate contact.

Is shipping included for package books and book orders?

Shipping and handling charges are not free unless stated otherwise. These charges apply to the package books that come with your publishing package, all regular book orders, and copies you purchase through special offers or monthly promotions.

How can I check the status of my book purchase order?

Once your order has been printed, assembled, and boxed, you will receive a second confirmation e-mail that includes your UPS tracking number (if you selected UPS delivery). You can then track your order at www.ups.com.

How will I know if you have received my order?

Once we have received your order, we will either e-mail, fax or call you and provide an order confirmation with your Sales Order Number on it. If you do not receive a confirmation message from us, then for some reason we did not receive your order. If you have any questions, please contact our Book Sales Department.

My order hasn't arrived, what do I do?

If you do not receive your order within 30 days, please contact our Book Sales Department to inquire about the shipping status.

Can I cancel my book order?

Since an order is transmitted directly to the fulfillment center the minute you place it, your Print-on-Demand book order cannot be cancelled.

My order arrived, but it isn't the book/quantity I specified, what do I do?

Inspect your order carefully when it arrives. Any problems should immediately be reported to our Book Sales Department. Have your order number handy. If your boxes are being sent to an author event venue, make arrangements with the event coordinator to check your order so there aren't any surprises on the day of the event.

What are your returns and claims policies?

Print-on-Demand orders are non-returnable and non-refundable, except in the event of poor print quality or an error in quantity. Please report quality or quantity issues to the Book Sales Department immediately upon receipt of the order. All claims must be filed within 30 days of shipment receipt.

Will Trafford be held liable for any delays, loss, or damage to book orders while in transit?

Once your order has been received and paid for in full, copies will be subject to availability and will be delivered within a reasonable period of time. Since shipping will be FOB (freight on board) shipping point, Trafford will not be held liable for any delays, loss, or damage caused to book orders while in transit. You are also responsible for applicable shipping and handling fees associated with your order.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept payment using Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express charge cards. In order to avoid the long delays which often occur when waiting for personal checks to clear the bank, we accept only certified checks and money orders. Checks must have a valid nine-digit bank routing number (ABA code) at the bottom.

How do I get a refund for a book I've ordered?

Trafford book orders are non-refundable, except in the event of poor print quality. Please report quality or quantity issues to our Book Sales Department within forty-five (45) business days of receipt of your order.

What discounts can I enjoy?

If you are interested in purchasing multiple copies of your book for your book promotion such as a media blitz, a book signing event, or any other purpose, you can take advantage of exclusive author discounts. Trafford offers you the following rates.

If you purchased a publishing package on or after Sept. 1, 2015, your book order cost is based on your Author Exclusive Price minus any additional discounts based on quantity. After a book is published, each author is given an Author Exclusive Price, which is a substantially reduced version of your book’s cover price. To find out your Author Exclusive Price, please contact your Book Consultant.

All orders must be prepaid, and shipping charges are not included in the discount structure. Please note that purchases of your book through a Book Consultant do not generate royalties and are nonreturnable.

If you purchased a publishing package on or prior to Aug. 31, 2015, your volume discounts are based on the cover price of your book and as outlined below.

General Shipping Information

All shipping transit times quoted herein are to be counted in business days, not calendar days. It is the customer’s responsibility to keep Trafford updated with the most current and accurate shipping address prior to the placement of orders. Trafford is not responsible for delays in shipping; has no control over and takes no liability for orders that are lost in transit; and is not accountable for orders lost due to errors by the customer, postal or courier system.
