Ensure better quality and a longer shelf life for your indie published book. Our hardcover books feature a durable cloth binding, an embossed spine, and a full-color dust jacket that allows room for a descriptive summary of your book and your author biography on its inside flaps, while the back cover may include, for example, excerpts of reviews or endorsements. Your hardcover edition will be assigned a unique ISBN. Please note: The hardcover format requires a minimum of 108 pages in the final printed format. Trafford Publishing makes your book available in hardcover through all of our publishing packages. All packages also include free copies of your published book in hardcover format.
Hardcover Purchase Process:
- Please keep in mind that hardcover books are available in two trim sizes: 5.5" x 8.5" or 6" x 9". If you choose to publish the paperback version of your book in a trim size other than 5.5" x 8.5" or 6" x 9", an additional fee will be required to reformat your book to match one of the two available hardcover trim sizes. Please contact your Publishing Consultant or your PSA for more information.
- You will then be prompted to provide an excerpt of a book review or endorsement for the back cover of the dust jacket.
- During your book production you will be given the opportunity to proof both the paperback and hardback editions for their look and feel and suggest changes as appropriate.
Good to Know | information
Because of higher production costs, the retail price of hardcover books can be as much as $10 more than trade paperbacks. The delivery time for hardcover book orders is about seven days longer than paperbacks. To find out more or to order, please call 888.232.4444.
