For more than 75 years, Kirkus Reviews has provided book reviews for an influential audience of librarians, bookstore managers, literary agents and more. Trafford has teamed up with Kirkus Discoveries, a paid review service from the editors of Kirkus Reviews, to offer four review options that combine the credibility of a book review with the promotional power of e-mail and advertising.

Our Kirkus Discoveries Book Review service gives you the opportunity to have your title reviewed by one of the most prominent and respected book review publications in the publishing industry. Kirkus Discoveries posts these reviews to the Discoveries Web site. The reviews are also eligible for inclusion in the Kirkus Discoveries monthly eNewsletter, which highlights the best submissions to the program at no extra cost. The eNewsletter goes to a targeted base of subscribers, including agents, editors and librarians.

A professional reviewer will read and provide an honest review of your book. Nonfiction books are reviewed by experienced reviewers who specialize in certain fields; novels and short-story collections are reviewed by experienced fiction reviewers; and children’s and young-adult books are reviewed by children’s librarians and others who are well-versed in children’s literature. 

You will be able to use your full review in your promotional materials and on your Web site. The review does not have to appear in its entirety; you may use excerpts. 

Trafford will make sure Kirkus Discoveries receives your book to review. When your review is finished, the review is forwarded via email to the author from Trafford.
