About the Book

Lord! Why Me? is a non-fiction book about the life of a woman that endured numerous challenges. As she traveled through life she met three men whom she fell in love with, married and later divorced.

Each man would be different in height, size and stature, yet they were the same individual in behavior. They did not know the meaning to the word commitment especially in a relationship, which shattered her heart. Each man had his own agenda, an agenda that would include having an extramarital affair.

Coming from a broken home, and being raped three times by the age of twelve, she began looking for love in all the wrong places. After her second marriage, she thought she had met Mr. Right. In her heart he was her "knight in shining armor" But when all was said and done, Mr. Right turned out to be the biggest fraud of all the lovers she had.

He showered her with gifts, splendid vacations, beautiful jewelry, numerous cars, and purchased many houses just to cover up his in-ability to be faithful. Mr. Right was living a double life and she found herself caught up in several love triangles.

Caught in a web of lies, she turned to prayer in an effort to find relief from the emotional booby trap.

About the Author

Joanna was born to Evans (deceased) and Martha Perdue. She was born in Stuart, Florida on April 3, 1954. During her childhood she lived in Hobe Sound, Florida until the age of twelve. At which time her mother relocated the family to Trenton, New Jersey where she stayed until 1979. When she returned from New Jersey she moved to West Palm Beach, Florida. But now she resides in Orlando, Florida with her three granddaughters.

Her Christian experience consists of the followings: In her earlier years, she was raised as a Baptist, later changing her faith to Pentecostal. However, as she grew spiritually and matured in Christ, she changed her faith to non-denominational.

She is a devout Christian who firmly believes in the Bible in its entirety. She has vowed to win as many souls as she can for the kingdom of God. And it is her desire to tear down the kingdom of the enemy by effectively proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

As a result of her desire to win souls for Christ, she has had to endure much spiritual warfare. Spiritual Warfare appeared to be apart of her life from the very onset of conception and has not ceased. However, her faith in God has enabled her to overcome all obstacles.

She has had to climb many rough mountains, walk through steep valleys as she strives to make heaven her home. But through it all, she has held strong to the Word of God.

Her educational background consists of:
An Associate of Science in Dietetic Technology from Palm Beach Community College; located in Lake Worth, Florida. A Bachelor of Health Services from Florida AtlanticUniversity; located in Boca Raton Florida; a Master of Health Management, St. Thomas University; a Master of Ministerial Studies from Truth Bible College and Seminary and a Doctorate of Theology from the same seminary school; located in Jacksonville, Florida.

Her personal accomplishments esteemed from the help and grace of God. Without God in the midst of her life she could not have successfully accomplished any thing.

She is an ordained minister who operates in the role of an Evangelist/ teacher. She is a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church located in Hobe Sound, Florida. Her ministry consists of speaking at Women Conferences throughout the United States. She is a member and speakers of "The Heart of a Wounded Woman" founded by Elder Darcel Clemens of Niagara Falls, NY.

Dr. Price is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and founder of JD Price Theological Bible College, Inc located in Orlando, Florida. She is a part-time Reading Instructor for El Bethel Christian Academy located at 3000 Bruton Boulevard Orlando, Florida where Mrs. Carolyn Thomas is Principal.

She is a licensed Nursing Home Administrator for the State of Florida who performs in an inactive status.

She has been recognized as one of America's 2000 Noticeable Women for her "achievements and outstanding service to community, state and nation."

During the year of 1994/95, she was recognized by "Who's, Who Worldwide" for being an outstanding business leader. She is a Board of Director member for Our Next Step, Inc.; located in Riviera Beach, Florida, founded by Mr. and Mrs. Renard Matthews.

She is the mother of six children, one deceased (Kesia and grandmother of twenty seven grandchildren.

Her philosophy of life is, "May the work that she does speak for her."
