About the Book

For most of us, our time in the business world has been spent trying to make sure that we were on the Win-side of the I win you lose scenario. Synergistic Communication is a means of changing this scenario to a Win/Win approach in which you do not have to lose in order for me to Win.

Utilizing the teachings from my book, "Win/Win - The Art of Synergistic Communication", will allow you to benefit from a I Win you Win approach to Business Communication and Decision Making, as well as all of your other Human Interactions.

While Synergistic Communication may not be the answer to all of your communication and human interaction issues, imagine not having to worry about EGOs, differences of opinion, or misunderstandings.

Wouldn't it be great if there were an open, vigorous discussion prior to decisions being made...and wouldn't you suppose the result would be better, more thorough decisions?

Curious? Let me walk you through the steps to creating a Win/Win Culture and Working Environment in your company.

About the Author

Ben Lute is a forty-seven-year old father of two, with a bachelor's degree in Organization Management and is a veteran of the Business Jungle, having worked as a manager in a Fortune 500 company for twenty-seven years. During his stay with one of the world's largest food manufacturing companies, he worked his way up from the hourly ranks to management positions in disciplines ranging from material handling to quality assurance, as well as manufacturing manager. This wide range of responsibility gave Ben a great deal of insight into the inner workings of a company and the concerns, needs, and limitations of its employees.

Ben survived six changes in ownership and all of the trappings associated with the new policies, programs, and management styles. He worked for and with countless managers and supervisors, as well as hundreds of hourly workers. This experience taught the author the importance of being flexible enough to adjust to changes in the culture and working environment of the new owners and managers, along with the ability to quickly determine the management styles of his new bosses. These abilities allowed the author to gain an understanding of the way the game was played or what the new rules were and are just some of the reasons Ben was able to survive and prosper in a company this large, with its ever-changing cultures and styles.

Throughout all of these changes, Ben was able to retain his Theory Y, people-oriented approach to managing and refused to succumb to the pressures of Theory X managers to treat employees as commodities instead of the assets they truly were. His experience includes negotiating union contracts and resolving employee' grievances.

As a first time author, Ben does not claim to be an expert or authority on either the business or writing worlds. He does however, feel uniquely qualified to write a book of this type, utilizing his years of experience and his endless number of human interactions and challenge as he made his way through the Business Jungle. This experience makes for a interesting and thought provoking approach to Business books and how to improve your company's ability to communicate and make effective, thorough decisions.
