Publishing Consultant
Trafford Publishing is searching for professional, high-energy, and motivated individuals who have a desire to assist independent authors and provide information about our services via email, in person, and by phone to authors from around the world.
This is a full time consultative sales position that advises authors about the book publishing process. Previous sales and/or customer service experience is an asset.
Trafford currently has positions available in the Colwood area of Victoria, B.C. Canada. We offer training and support, comprehensive benefits package, base salary plus competitive commission and an exciting work environment.

Publishing Consultant Assistant
If you enjoy talking to people from all walks to life and have a desire to provide excellent customer service, this is the position for you.
This is a full-time position. You will be working with our publishing consultants to assist independent authors and provide information about our services via email and by phone worldwide. This position has room for advancement, as many successful Publishing Consultant Assistants eventually become Publishing Consultants.

Author Web Team Representative
Trafford Publishing is looking for a hard-working, team player to join our Author Webpage Team.
The Author Webpage Team is responsible for entering print specs and webpage metadata into our database before production of the author's first proof. After the author approves the book for sale, the Author Webpage Team ensures that the database is up-to-date and accurate before making the book available for sale.
The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys working with people via phone or email, they will possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal), have a great attention to detail, and excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Past experience with databases is considered an asset.
We offer training, a comprehensive benefits package and an exciting and dynamic work environment. The salary is $27k per annum, based on a 40 hour work week. This position is located in Victoria, BC, Canada.

Prepress Technician Position
Trafford Publishing, an internationally-leading on-demand book publisher, is seeking a Prepress Technician to join the prepress department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for laying out novels, non-fiction books, children's books, and their covers.
Minimum qualifications include:
- Proficient knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Previous work experience in prepress and/or graphic design
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable additional qualifications include:
- Relevant education
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat and working with PDFs
- Experience with book cover design
- Knowledge of digital printing technologies
- Mac OS X and PC experience

Author Support Representative (Production Coordinator)
Trafford Publishing is searching for professional, high-energy, assertive and motivated individuals who have a desire to coordinate publishing projects and serve as a liaison between our Authors and our Pre-Press Department, via email, in person, and by phone worldwide.
Author Services Representatives handle author accounts, obtains necessary book materials from the author, organizes them for production, troubleshoots any issues that may occur, advises authors about the book publishing process, and ensures that both Trafford Publishing and the author fulfill their respective obligations under the contract.

Written and oral fluency in French or Spanish, or basic knowledge of the publishing industry are assets.

Print Shop Team Member
Trafford Publishing is seeking to fill the position of Print Shop Team Member in the Print & Production Department of our Victoria office. We have three vacancies in this department, one of which is a Supervisor role. These are evening shifts with hours of work from 2:30pm until 11:00pm. Required attributes: computer proficiency, detail-oriented, highly organized, exceptional customer service and communication skills, enjoys fast-paced environment. Digital printing or bindery work will be an asset.
Trafford Publishing offers a generous benefit package. Starting salary $26K p.a.

Accounting Supervisor
We are hiring for the position of Accounting Supervisor. Candidate must have hands-on experience, strong supervisory and technical skills, and is a qualified CGA/CMA or is in the final year of the program. Experience in multi-currency accounting preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics GP would be an asset. Strong analytical skills and attention to details are a must.
