Trafford Publishing is a division of Trafford Holdings Ltd., which operates four subsidiary companies in Canada, United States, UK and the Republic of Ireland. At Trafford Publishing we have a long-standing practice of protecting the privacy of our customers and visitors. Whether you are an individual buying a book, prospective author, retailer, wholesaler, supplier or one of the thousands of authors from around the world who use our publishing service, your privacy is important to us, as is your peace of mind. We value your business and believe how you deal with us is your choice. We also believe that by sharing your information within our organization, we can help you with all the services you may need to see your publishing dreams come true. You may at any time withhold or withdraw your consent for Trafford Publishing to use your personal information. To do this, simply send us your request to the contact address listed at the end of this policy. Please understand that withholding consent to certain uses of information may restrict our ability to provide you with a particular product or service.
What Does Trafford Publishing’s Privacy Policy Mean to you?

What information do we collect and how do we use it?
Trafford Publishing requires basic information about you to establish a relationship, deliver products and services you have requested, and provide ongoing service. Depending on the products or services you need, we would require personal information, such as your name, contact information and transaction data. As well, the government requires us to keep record of certain information for tax filing purposes. Your personal information may also be used to understand your needs and eligibility for products and services and to recommend certain products or services to meet your needs.
At Trafford Publishing, we value the relationship you have with us; we respect your privacy and are committed to keeping your personal information confidential. Trafford does not sell, rent, lend or exchange client information with other organizations. In some cases, we may be required by law or court orders to divulge private information.
Website Traffic
Trafford’s web site collects information about our visitor’s activities on our site. We count the number of times each web page is visited and record the traffic flow throughout our site. We collect referral data, domain names, the browser and platform type used by visitors to our site. Our interest in collecting this information is always to refine the functionality of the site to improve our visitors’ experience. The information collected is used solely by Trafford and is not shared with any other organizations.

Online orders
When customers place an online order through Trafford’s bookstore we require contact information including name and address, and payment information that may include credit card details. For book orders over $2,000.00 we require a SSN or EIN number to have the shipment cleared through customs if the package is being shipped outside of Canada. The information is used only for order fulfillment and payment purposes.
Our newsletter and announcements
We send out newsletters to our customers on a quarterly basis. We also provide periodic service and product announcements to authors who have provided their e-mail addresses to Trafford. If at any time you no longer wish to receive the announcements, please send an e-mail to contacts@trafford.com
Surveys
Trafford conducts customer surveys on a voluntary basis. The information we collect is used solely by Trafford for customer service and marketing purposes. All personal information will be removed if the results of the surveys are to be shared with any third party.

Trafford’s web site contains external links to other web sites. We do not control nor are we responsible for the practices of these sites as they relate to the privacy of your information. We do not provide our customer information to any external site.
