About the Author

When asked, "What is the most rewarding thing you have done in your lifetime?" Her response is, "Raising my children - natural, adoptive, and foster" (alongside her husband Bill, to whom she has been married for many years).

Yvonne Bush is retired from Child Protective Services. During that time she investigated and arranged services for hundreds of high risk children and their families. In August of 1994, the State of Arizona, Division of Children and Family Services (DCFS) honored her work by awarding her "DCFS Employee of the Quarter." She was selected out of over five thousand employees.

Yvonne has a Master's Degree in Counseling and Family Studies. She has traveled and continues to travel with teams to Romania and Russia to teach and encourage professionals and lay people alike. A few of the unique opportunities she has been able to be a part of include teaching Romanian junior and senior high school students, participating in a session at a womens' prison in Romania, and making rounds with a social worker in Romania.

Yvonne's experience in a children's cancer unit in Russia, several orphanages in Romania, along with various opportunities to love, nurture, and observe children in various settings over the years has taught her that there are universal ways to communicate.

The encounters she has had at home and abroad support her conclusions that bonding and communication are central to keeping relationships alive.

As Yvonne shares her heart, her wisdom, and her Christian faith, people are encouraged in their own personal growth and relationships.

This interest in helping others began early in life when at age 19, Yvonne served in inner-city missions.

Yvonne currently enjoys speaking at community groups and wherever God leads as she shares her valuable insight on child development, family relations, and coping with the hurts and challenges of life.
