Th ere was a distant sound of thumping that grew louder as they glided into
the interior of the new triangle. Th e thud was so persistent that it reminded
Larry of stories about running Zulus warriors on the warpath. Th en as
the rhythm grew even louder, the gentle scent of rose perfume penetrated
the ship. Larry looked at his compatriots who ever since the tunnel, took
on a distinct blue hue to the left side of their being, and a pale pinkness
to the right. He noticed that some of the females had begun to play with
make up perhaps for example, some pink on the blue side and blue on the
pink. He chuckled to himself thinking just how fast people had grown
accustomed to the new phenomenon. Everina came into view as she went
about her duties. Larry snatched a look towards her and gasped at her extra
radiant beauty. She looked fi ne as an earth girl, but now he thought she
was breathtaking.
Th e ships bells jangled. Th e Captain stood wide legged at the EM/
SPEC and the computer banks became very active. Larry looked at the
screen and noticed vapour following them from the blue territory. Th e
vapour was there perhaps because of a temperature diff erence between both
masses. It was certainly being absorbed directly into the maroon triangles
structure. Perhaps all this was purifying the texture, the elixir of life of this
strange world!
A range of mountains loomed up ahead. It’s mass seemed to vibrate
ever so slightly and in time with every thump. As they listened, one of the
medical people made some calculations. He determined that it made a
thud once every .857 of a second - timed on their earth watches. Th ey were
struck at the resemblance it bore to the human heartbeat.
Th e mountain range appeared smooth and rounded like the back
of a turtle shell. It just rose before their eyes, perhaps because they were
travelling faster than realised! Lionel exclaimed,
“What do you know – this is like the famous Ayers Rock in the
Australian’s northern territories, what do you think Calan?”

Th e volcano section now became more noticeable. It could be seen
protruded through the centre of the surrounding hills. Th is super pandemic
vortex was undoubtedly the source of spiritual and even cosmic energy. It
was the epicentre for the silver streaks that they had watched for so long.
As they became more accustomed to the evolving oddity, Larry noticed
that the incoming streaks were purple and that the outgoing were a vibrant
mixture of blue and gold. As if to confi rm the importance of the experience,
some of the crew said out loud,
“Good God, is this the powerhouse of existence? Another responded,
“Why yes, it must be, and where the heck else would you see a sight
like it? Ernst exclaimed “ Es ist einnen hertz!” Mantz muttered,
“Le Coeur du Universe, et Le Sacre-Coeur!”exclained Jean Moreau.
Th e navigator again compared the Mandala with the image of what lay
ahead. He was again reassured by the near similarity. Th en his curiosity was
rewarded. Just as if to answer his question; a city was sighted, nestled on
and around the base of the mighty rock,
“City ahoy,” yelled one of the Ship’s crew.
“It looks like Rio, you know Rio de Janeiro!”
It seemed to be spread across the planes and up the hills leading to
the higher peaks. Th ere were refl ections of moving objects which gave the
impression of traffi c of sorts. Maybe this activity was caused by their arrival,
but who knew!
As they got closed its dwellings appeared sometimes white or beige
in colour and many had arched windows and orange tiled roofs. Many
possessed balconies so that it was all quite Spanish looking. Th e dwellings
were varied, some were of low design like homes but others were taller and
like apartments or commercial blocks. Th ere was also aerial activity - specs
of light could be seen rising and descending like fi refl ies. Th ere was the
twinkle of water - a lake to the south west. Some of these fi refl ies were
circulating above the lake and disappearing, perhaps into the rear of the
Ayres Rock Style Mountains. Just then the EM/SPEC gave a reading,
“T = 300,000x3 T Avum = .00005 T Eternitas as absolute Zero -.00005.

Richard read with interest and then stabbed a fi nger in the direction of
Deuterium saying,

“Th at is the fi rst time we have had confi rmation about this element.
No one ever knew from where it came from or if it existed. Now look this
is where it must have originated!”
“Your right,” said one of the physicists,
“But look it records the temperature is much too high for Hadrons to
be, this strengthens the case that they are inverted as otherwise they would
not be here? Th en there is super strong gravitational force, what is that?”
Larry took a guess,
“It must be the total of all local gravities otherwise we would be fl oating
around by now.”
Th e navigator managed to magnify the imaging of the city. A new
feature became apparent. All around the outskirts there were plains of
golden colour that resemble those of Manitoba, the steps of Russia or the
fi elds of Athenry!
“Could that be wheat for bread?” asked Everina.
“Could be!” said Larry
“I wonder what else?”
Luckily, the immediate area around the city was free from eruptions,
as that is where the Callisto came to a stop. As they were now very close
the thumping diminished perhaps muffl ed by the mountains and the
buildings.
