About the Book

This story teaches preschoolers primary-color recognition in a gentle way by using colorful balloons. The story is about a neighborhood clown named Bongo. He goes to the park every Saturday to give balloons to the local children. One Saturday, he finds himself with only one balloon left. It’s the end of the day, and he is tired and ready to go home. What happens then shows Bongo that even if there is only one balloon left, you never let it go.

About the Author

Her imagination and interest in writing was sparked by an English teacher in high school, then re-enforced in college. Her passion for writing grew substantially when her son was a young child. Made-up stories were a fun way to pass the time and spend quality time together. As he grew and nieces and nephews arrived, they too wanted to hear the stories. She had told so many over time that it was easy to forget how they went. It was time to put pen to paper. The more she wrote, the more she loved it. Eventually she began working with and writing plays and skits for the children’s group at her church. Now she writes for her grandchildren, Elizabeth and Alexander. Children are great to write for. They inspire her, whatever their age. There is so much to work with in regard to children. Their growing, learning, development, imagination—the list can go on and on.
