My son marries my daughter

Principles are the standard/code of conduct by which we must govern our behaviour. That means if a principle is broken, whoever breaks the principle suffers the consequences. It’s like the principle of gravity. Whether you like it or not, God’s law of nature says that which goes up must come down. No matter how anointed you are or what part of the world you are, if you go on top of a hill or a tall city building, and say, ‘because I prophesy, I speak in tongues and perform miracles, I am going to jump and I won’t fall’; you will find yourself falling down, fast. Why? You cannot violate God’s principle of mother nature. It’s a rule, God’s law, a natural principle. You jump, you break the law, and you will be buried. Period. In the Kingdom of God, I came to the conclusion that, the key principle when it comes to dating and marrying is: “My Son Marries My daughter.” I coined this phrase as my contribution to the world on the subject of Christian (or religious) marriages. God instructs that His children marry among themselves. Don’t be horrified, this principle is not the same as incest. 2 Corinthians 6:14 says: 14Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? The children of God are called ‘believers’. They are God’s children, belonging to God’s kingdom. Those who choose NOT to follow God are ‘unbelievers’, therefore NOT God’s children. The principle of Kingdom relationships is simple: God says: ‘My son marries my daughter’. That’s what the above verse is saying. From the Old Testament to the New Testament, the Bible is awash with examples of what happened whenever this key principle was violated. When you observe this principle, God makes a quality promise: ‘And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty’ (2 Corinthians 6:18). He is our Heavenly Father, and He wants His sons to marry His daughters. Consider the story of Ahab, king of Israel, in 1st Kings 16. I shall highlight verses 30-33. 30 And Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the LORD above all that were before him.31 And it came to pass, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took to wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Zidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshipped him.32 And he reared up an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he had built in Samaria.33 And Ahab made a grove; and Ahab did more to provoke the LORD God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel that were before him. The bold is mine for emphasis. This passage of scripture aptly demonstrates how critical 2nd Corinthians 6:14-18 is in the mind of God when it comes to marriage. There is no evil before God that is worse than the evil of miss-marrying. Ahab went and married a princess. She was beautiful. Her father was a foreign king, the high priest of the pagan god called Baal. Ahab, king of Israel got excited by this beautiful princess and forgot the principle; my son marries my daughter. He was enticed by beauty, good looks and the office of a princess. Children of God, please be careful who you marry. Ahab provoked the God of Israel to anger (‘did evil in the sight of the LORD’) when he married outside of God’s family. That’s a pretty dangerous thing to do. There is nothing that angers God more than His children being unequally yoked. King Ahab lost his kingship and his life – because he made God so angry when he decided to marry Jezebel. God’s son married a strange man’s daughter. You cannot afford to do that! Eventually King Ahab caused the whole nation of Israel to worship Baal because of miss- marrying. Oh, my God! Consider the creation account in Genesis 1:26 – 28. God created Adam, His own son. Later on, out of Adam, God made His daughter called Eve. Apart from creation, the first thing that God did was to conduct a marriage in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 2:18 –24). That day His son Adam married His daughter, Eve. God their father was also their marriage officer! He sealed the key principle on Kingdom relationships, and in a way declared: ‘My son marries my daughter.’ Now, that’s marriage, God’s way. Pretty much, the key summary of the book is this: God started with a wedding in the garden of Eden; He is going to finish with a wedding in the clouds (1st Thess. 4:13-18). That completes the full circle of this Divine principle. His only begotten son (Jesus Christ/the Bridegroom) will marry His only daughter (the Church/the Bride). It’s official: ‘My son marries my daughter’, says God. Nice! God’s children must be married to other children of God. That’s what it means when God says: ‘My son marries my daughter.’ To this day, the Jewish people practice this golden principle. By and large, they marry Jewish to Jewish. Simply put, the Jewish people follow God’s divine principle of successful marriages. The key is: as God sits on the throne, presiding over the Kingdom, He wants His sons to marry his daughters. A little dazzled? At least I got you thinking. Well, read the book. You will soon get what I mean, if you haven’t got it already. I encourage Christians and God’s children all over the world: take heed of the warning from our Heavenly father, the almighty God. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. That’s God’s law. That’s’ God’s command. That’s what the Bible says. Child of God, you ignore this key principle when you marry, and your marriage will most probably end up as a divorce statistic. I sit!
