About the Book

There once was a time when honest people made their living off land even rattlesnakes wouldn’t inhabit. It was not so long ago that people had forgotten because people never forget something like this. A strange and miraculous event happened to the Coleman family: farmer John; his wife, Jeannie; older daughter, Angela; twin boys, Thomas and Johnny; and youngest daughter, Molly.

About the Author

Gail Kennedy was born on Halloween in Tennessee to Roy Kennedy and Shelvie Kennedy nee Owen. Like Molly in the story, Gail was born one of God’s chosen children. She has cerebral palsy and has been confined to a wheelchair most of her life. With all her challenges, she has an amazing attitude and a deep love of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Her amazing mother, Shelvie, introduced her to Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and she got a job there as a greeter inside the picnic area of the Blue Ribbon Pavilion. She has been there nineteen years and just loves the interaction with the people. This story, In His Time, is Gail’s creation, which has been expanded and illustrated by her aunt Carolee into a story about Gail’s faith and character. She is so excited about it and hopes everyone likes it. Stop by to see her in Dollywood when you’re in town. She’ll be delighted to see you and talk with you. She’s one of God’s chosen, you know, and for good reason. Carolee Russell, whose married name is Carol Lee Owen, was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and grew up in a suburb called Arbutus. She has had an affinity for arts and crafts all her life. She’s made paper dolls for the neighborhood kids, crocheted many different items, painted landscapes, drawn portraits, designed clothes, created cartoons, and built a Cinderella coach, carousel horses, three-dimensional farm animals, a teepee, and half an ocean liner. Most recently, she has explored the art of the written word and has published two books, Murder in the Haunted House, and a children’s book, A Wish for Algie.” She was intrigued by her niece’s story and wanted very much to help her achieve her dream of getting it published. Carolee is very proud to be a part of this project and hopes it becomes a popular read for all ages.
