About the Book

"Country Toad and City Frog" is a bilingual English-Spanish children's book. The book teaches the moon phases in an adventure-type storyline. The moon phases change as the book and storyline progress through Country Frog's adventures, which begin in his beloved country environment and progress into a strange city environment where he meets City Frog. The two become friends and stay together in the country at the end. The target age for this book ranges from five to nine years.

About the Author

DJ is the seventh out of eight children in her family. She and her family had a rough life growing up as Migrant workers and a very low SES and only her mom. (Dad passed away when DJ was 9 years old). From an early age, DJ was determined to make something great out of her life. Quitting wasn't an option. Determination and perseverance were always a must and now DJ is currently working on her PH.d and has goals to continue writing children's books over subject areas, that are not currently covered, at an early age, in fun exciting formats for children to not only learn but also improve their literacy skills. DJ also would love to teach at the University level, in 1.5 years, when retired from her current educational position. DJ is proud of her 2 Veteran sons (Edward-US Navy) and (Eli-US Marine Corps) as well as her daughter Elizabet and beautiful granddaughter Eliana.
