Praying Through the New Testament is not a book about prayer; it is a book of prayers based on Scripture.
Several years ago, Gladie embarked on a spiritual journey and joy adventure of praying Scripture-based prayers. She discovered it to be a wonderful and effective way to pray Scripture into the lives of her family and others for whom she prays on a regular basis—and for those she doesn't even know. This led her to write, Praying Through the New Testament.
Description
The book contains 52 pages of REQUESTS, PRAYERS and THANKSGIVING to pray for ourselves (left-side of the book), and 52 pages of INTERCESSION prayers from the same portion to pray for others (right-side of the book). It also includes the prayer, Praying Through to God, along with encouragement and guidelines.
Scripture-Based Prayers can put into words the love we have in our hearts for the Lord and the deep desires we carry in our hearts for others. They provide the practical help and inspiration we all need to pray more consistently and effectively.
But we don’t just pray for the joy and change it brings to us. God wants to teach us to pray kingdom prayers where His will is done. Scripture-based prayers help us know the heart and mind of God that can lead us to partner with what He wants to do in our lives and in others.

Sample Requests, Prayers and Thanksgiving
LORD Jesus, help me to listen when Your servants speak Your Word and show me the way to live. Make me aware of areas of my life that do not please You. I yield my life to You.
Jesus, I pray that children will see Your miracles and praise Your Name. Use me to teach children to praise You.
LORD, I want my life to bear fruit. Don’t let me be like the fig tree that had only leaves. You said if I have faith, and not doubt, that I will see miracles. Give me courage to say to the mountains in my life, "May God lift you up and throw you into the sea,” so it will happen. You said if I believe, I will receive whatever I ask in prayer. LORD, I believe. I have this mountain in my life: (mountain). I ask You to move it by the power of Your Name.
Sample Intercession prayers
LORD Jesus, make (DISCIPLE) aware that the blind and lame came to You, and You healed them. I pray that You will do miracles in his/her life, and in those around him/her. May children also see Your miracles and praise You. Use (DISCIPLE) to teach children to praise You.
LORD, I pray that (DISCIPLE) will listen when Your servants speak Your Word to show him/her the way to live. Reveal areas in his/her life that do not please You. Give him/her grace to yield to You—and the power to obey.
LORD, I pray that (DISCIPLE) will bear fruit in his/her life. May he/she not be like the fig tree that had only leaves. You said if he/she has faith—and does not doubt, that he/she will see miracles take place.
Jesus, reveal to (DISCIPLE) that he/she can say to the mountains in his/her life, "May God lift you up and throw you into the sea,” and it will happen. Show him/her that if he/she believes, he/she will receive whatever he/she asks in Your Name. Fill (DISCIPLE) with faith. Lead him/her to call out to You.
Jesus, lead (SALVATION) to come to You and ask You to forgive his/her sins. Show him/her that he/she doesn’t have only a few sins but many. Reveal to him/her that You will forgive them all. I pray that (SALVATION) will want to know real peace—the peace that only You can give.
