About the Author

Second to the eldest of nine children, Dorothy was born July 7, 1932 to Lawrence and Evelyn Graves on a farm near Williamsfield, Illinois. As a child she learned hard work and doing your best; and she still does not like sloppy work. She accounts her greatest influence to develop her artistic abilities to her grandfather, Sam Wolfe. Like her life, her hand is still steady as she works with her creative projects. After high school, she attended and graduated from MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois with a B.
