About the Book

Cleopatra was as beautiful as she was as powerful and intelligent. But it is the her love story that perhaps make Cleopatra most celebrated queen of Egypt in the world. Now after centuries of silence she speaks to us again from the Nile with a new voice through these beautiful poems of passion and longing, as if the queen herself - long gone - has found a new voice in poetry to sing of love.

This collection of modern poems depicts various aspects of feelings and sentiments . It consists of pieces of poetry portrayed from the point of view of an Eastern woman who is well established in the tracks of the west ; amalgamating the two worlds in one crucible of poetry . The poems are written in free-verse style by the poetess, Dr. Mona, an Egyptian woman, a mother, doctor, a wife and poetess.
